Astronomy has been a primary interest of mine, even before rocketry. I have observed the stars and celestial bodies with my Dobsonian telescope.
This image shows my set up for the Perseids meteor shower. I traveled out to the Utah desert to get away from light pollution and to get a better view
of the meteors and the Milky Way Galaxy.
I haven't been able to get deeply into astrophotography because I don't have a mount for a camera or my phone attached to my telescope.
However, I have taken a few pictures of the moon and stars while stargazing. This photo of the moon was taken with an iPhone 12.
Although it's not the best quality due to the cloud coverage that night, I still find it interesting and detailed.
I wanted to share this image I got of Starlink passing by while I was watching the Perseids meteor shower! At the time I wasn't familiar with several
bodies that orbit Earth, it took me a few minutes to figure out what I just saw.
